I know I shouldn't admit to this, but more important to me than my daughter's grades in her "academic" classes is her progression as an artist. She's always been a dreamer, a doodler, a sketcher, an imagineer. And we all know that without art our eARTh is just eh. I am convinced that a person's ability to communicate what's in their imagination via the medium of paints and chalks is a skill that feeds every other avenue of being a successful and creative person in life. When she brought home a couple of this semester's pieces, I was yet again overly pleased.
Dream big my love and make your mark. The earth is yours to scorch before you with your beautiful manner... with the help of your sweet little dragon.
